Description
You will work as a Production Technician apprentice within a small, valued team where you can be proud of where you work and what you can achieve. There is an office on site, including a Sales, Finance, Admin, Marketing and Technical Support department.
Responsibilities:
- General housekeeping duties
- Counting and putting stock away
- Making production boxes up ready for production
- Bench assembly of the product, including cleaning and checking all parts before making them into a kit format
- Set the products up onto a production rig where you will adjust, commission electronics (motors, controls, sensors), set pitch/angle, and align mechanisms before packaging the product ready for delivery
- Opportunity to learn about the other manufacturing areas such as Installation of the products and Delivery
Entry requirements
GCSE grades 3-9 in Maths and English - Essential.
Training to be provided
- The learner will be studying the Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

Working week Monday - Thursday or Friday if college falls on this day. 7am-5pm on working days. Factory doesn’t operate on a Friday so hours will vary depending on when college days fall.
