JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Production Technician
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time (Exempt)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide production support for weekend services, special events, and other event environments across the life of the church. The Production Technician collaborates with the Creative Arts team to lead production elements, projects, and teams. This person will develop, coach, and lead volunteers to utilize technology that shapes artistic and distraction-free environments that draw people into an encounter with Jesus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of audio, video, and lighting (AVL)
  • Two or more years of AVL industry (or equivalent ministry) experience
  • Working knowledge of all Theater, Audio/Visual hardware, and terminology necessary to effectively perform duties as described
  • Knowledge of video/audio signal
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Ability to lead volunteers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet fast deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Advanced computer skills; understand use of MAC platform
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic equipmentSupport the vision of Faith Chapel by exemplifying an active walk with Christ.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend periodically

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a full range of AVL technical duties, including but not limited to setup and operation of sound equipment, lighting, video and audio recording, LED, & projection systems, equipment maintenance, as well as assisting in stage and campus setups, minor AV installations, repairs work and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in executing production elements during weekend services and special events.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attend pre-production meetings and/or rehearsals to take note of specific ideas and tasks that need to be accomplished for services.
  • Committed to creating engaging environments for people to take their next steps.
  • Meet regularly with the Creative team to brainstorm creative production and service elements.
  • Continually recruits and trains production volunteers for various production related areas.
  • Coordinates with ministries throughout the church and across campuses to provide quality production and tech in relation to audio, video, lighting, and overall production execution.Carry out other duties as required.
