JOB SUMMARY

The Production Worker reports to the Production Manager and meets daily production goals as a member of the production team. The Production Worker is expected to demonstrate a focus on the customer while maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive workplace.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• forklift experience ( An asset)
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience ( an asset)
• Physically capable of lifting 25 kg (55lbs) repeatedly for a shift (8 hours) if required.
• Assets: Class 5 DL (N or better)
• Ability to learn and run bottle/ Jar filling machines.
• Ability to perform repetitive work

On a daily basis the Production Worker will:

• Participate in Production Team meetings to discuss the day’s goals and receive instruction on what needs to be accomplished for the day.
• Actively perform manufacturing production tasks including:
• operating the bagging/filling lines filling
• stacking on pallets, and moving to storage 25kg bags
• hanging, filling, moving by forklift and securing bulk bags
• cleaning up the production area as required
• pallet repair as required using small hand tools
• recycling liquid fertilizer totes
• assisting team members in other areas of the plant and learning how to mix both dry and liquid fertilizers
• other related duties as assigned
• Follow all safety rules with respect to wearing required PPE and safe work practices as instructed.
