Production Worker/Sandblasting Assistant - With Opportunities To Grow into a Sandblaster position!

ABOUT THE POSITION:

  • This position requires attention to detail, understanding of production flow, and willingness to learn and follow proper techniques.
  • The successful candidate will be provided with the necessary training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Capable of reading and writing in English.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50lbs.
  • Actively engage in problem-solving, not problem-naming.
  • Effective at time management.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow a process to completion.
  • Prior forklift experience is an asset.

YOU MAY BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE PAST EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Metal/Fabrication shops.
  • Kitchens.
  • Auto prep shops.
  • General Labor.
  • High School shop programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Carefully package finished goods for safe transportation.
  • Solve unique racking and staging challenges of clean customer goods for production.
  • Inspect pieces for proper cleanliness before blasting.
  • Prepare parts for blasting as per work instructions.
  • Assist the Lead Sand Blaster with the transport of goods through the shop.
  • Sand Blasting as required.
  • Assist Shipper with loading and unloading delivery trucks as required.
  • Safe and effective use of orbital sanders, air guns, and other production-related tools.
  • Open communication to keep production flowing.
  • Attend and contribute to production huddles, safety meetings, and training as required.
  • Assist with other duties on the shop floor as required.
