This position is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga, Ontario office with the opportunity to work 2 days remotely per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing inventory analysis on Aged Inventory and Goods In transit;
  • Perform Customer Rebates reconciliation and Analysis;
  • Completing Directship Sales reconciliation and Analysis;
  • Supporting fellow team members and AD Hoc situations as needed;
  • Support Working Capital initiatives;
  • Completing all Month End Responsibilities in a timely manner (journal entries, balance sheet schedules and templates);
  • Responsible for maintaining accounts and records in various accounting functions;
  • Collects and analyzes financial data and prepares reports and recommendations;
  • Maintains records and files and generates related reports;
  • Prepares income and balance sheet, profit and loss, consolidated and other accounting statements;
  • Codes, enters and prepares invoices, and responds to customer and vendor inquiries;
  • Perform journal entries on a monthly basis.

What you bring to the role:

  • A college diploma or degree in accounting or finance (or additional experience in a related field);
  • Finance professional with 3+ years of progressive financial and accounting experience;
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Designation an asset;
  • Familiar with a closed process, costing analysis, forecasting and budgeting;
  • Proficient in maintaining and analyzing general ledgers;
  • Capable of managing month-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial postings;
  • Inventory related experience is an asset;
  • Experienced working with multiple ERP’s or software’s such as SAP and OneStream;
  • Experience working across departments and on cross-functional teams;
  • Must be advanced in Excel and other MS Office applications;
  • Possesses excellent communication skills.
