Description:

JOB SUMMARY – WHAT TO EXPECT:

As Professional Services Manager – Fitting Software Specialist, you will contribute to professional affairs and marketing strategy and programmes in the EMEA region, to ensure organisational objectives are met in local markets.
Your role will be to positively influence the prescribing habits of eye care practitioners, and promote engagement with CooperVision brands, and the contact lens category amongst KOLs, eye care practitioners and retail staff.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A minimum of five years’ optometrist experience including CL fitting.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, networking and influencing skills.
  • Project Management, Strategic planning, risk management and change management skills.
  • Excellent decision-making skills. Experience in training essential.
  • Digital acumen.
  • Experience of working with third-party suppliers including marketing communication agencies.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Customer and consumer focused.
  • Strong business skills and interest in working in a commercial environment.
  • Experience of working in European/internationally preferred.
  • Fluent English critical. Other EU languages welcomed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Previous experience in a Professional Affairs capacity in the contact lens, vision or eyecare industries.
  • Competent designer and deliverer of training programs for multilevel audiences.
  • Experience in ortho K fitting and training. Experience working on digital platforms.
  • Teamwork and planning.
  • Skills in delivering messages and presentations to large audiences.
  • Ability to network and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Experience in leading digital/app-based education an advantage.
  • Registered optometrist/optometry qualification.
  • MBA / higher qualification preferred.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Sustain innovation in fitting contact lens education through different formats, improving tools like Visavy and OptiExpert, and owning the delivery of training in market for roll outs on both. Work with key stakeholders to ensure global consistency in any software recommendations and changes.
  • Be part of the development of innovative professional affairs programs to support the EMEA PA strategies associated with core contact lenses, ortho K lenses, specialty lenses and tools/services associated.
  • Partner with European/Global customer business teams to collaborate with key customers and distributors to deploy differentiated training initiatives and programs to influence fitting habits and contact lens category engagement. Contribute to customer meetings as appropriate.
  • Influence and present with personal impact at key international professional and educational events on product, clinical and category topics. Provide strong PA support to country hosting event.
  • Critically review programs to drive ROI and other metrics as agreed.
  • Support production and validation of clinical and marketing material, proof reading and navigation through ad/promo process.
  • Partner with Global, European and local brand marketing teams to deliver product marketing and communication strategies to enhance brand reputation through clinical messaging, testimonials and ECP centric communication.
  • Collaborate with the European & Global brand and Professional Affairs team to develop strong product claims that can be used in selling tools.
  • Provide sales force training materials to all EMEA markets to help them sell our products, handle competitor challenges and make CL fitting easy.
  • Ease and collaborate on publishing articles, advertorials and non-peer review papers on the clinical and commercial aspects of CLs and the requirements within a practice to maximise the CL market opportunity.
  • Proactively influence and contribute to the annual planning process.
