JOB TITLE: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COACH ASSOCIATE

Southwest Human Development Early Head Start and Head Start program is seeking a professional development coach to mentor and coach child development staff in the successful delivery of classroom and family development services.

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 2 year(s): Early childhood education experience is required including the training facilitation responsibilities.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Associates or better in Early Childhood Education

Responsibilities:

  • Support coaching team who supports teacher practice through coaching which achieves planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate practice curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children as defined by the competencies of the Construct@ Coaching model.
  • Assist coaches in the planning and implementation of classroom environments and responsive caregiving/teacher practices that result in quality outcomes.
  • Support coaches’ arrangement and utilization of the indoor classroom and outdoor environment to maximize teaching practices for children.
  • Planning and identifying tools that would support projects for the Communities of Practice to address social emotional and school readiness needs of children.
  • Adhere to program policy and procedures to sustain quality outcomes, DHS licensing requirements, and other ECE standards.
  • Facilitates the use of technology to aid in the tracking of coaching and teacher practice outcomes.
  • Work alongside other coaches to facilitate the utilization of program consultants and members of the Integrated Service Team to provide quality cloud Family Services (one child one family, one team).
  • Assists coaches who will collaborate with program managers and the director in planning, developing, and mentoring program services policies and procedures to ensure integration with other quality improvement
