Professional Director of Midwifery & Paediatric Nursing

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior midwife with extensive leadership experience to join The Royal Surrey Women and Children Division, within which the Maternity service has an outstanding rating with the CQC. The successful candidate, as part of the Divisional Triumvirate, will work closely with the Chief Nurse, senior nursing and midwifery colleagues, Clinical Directors and external partners as a visible leader for midwifery and paediatric nursing across the Trust. They are responsible for all matters relating to the national and local agenda for midwifery, gynaecology and paediatric nursing. The post holder will support the Trust on all aspects of professional practice relating to Women’s services and provide professional advice directly about maternity related matters and strategic development of services.
The role has a considerable external focus working in partnership with other services across the ICS, regional and national teams, Care Quality Commission, the regional chief midwife, the royal colleges and other key stake holders.
