Description:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or equivalent and five years of progressively responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience; or an equivalent combination education and experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
If your education was obtained in the United States, the County recognizes degrees or diplomas which are accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). If you have obtained education from a country other than the United States, your degree or diploma must be evaluated to determine the United States equivalency by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Service (NACES) or the Association of International Credentials Evaluations (AICE) at your expense.
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of highly complex and specialized executive administrative functions, e.g., conducting research, preparing spreadsheets, word processing, reviews correspondences, record keeping, maintains filing system, prepare agenda materials and receives telephone inquiries.
- Coordinates special projects and completes special assignments, reports, presentations and correspondence requested by the Department Director or Deputy County Administrator where information and collaboration is required from various Division Managers and staff.
- Maintain weekly/monthly calendars and schedules for the assigned supervisor.
- May coordinate and prepare agendas, e.g., scheduling, meetings, travel arrangement, conferences, and seminars.
- Assists in budget preparation.
- Provides information on and interprets county policies and procedures to County employees and the general public.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of information in the performance of job duties
- May supervise clerical and/or secretarial staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
