JOB SUMMARY
The Brumbaugh lab is seeking enthusiastic and talented applicants for an open research assistant position. This position would include both research and administrative opportunities. The ideal candidate would be highly organized and possess strong interpersonal skills. Lab experience, particularly in the areas of molecular biology, developmental biology, and animal husbandry (mouse work) is preferred.

Responsibilities:
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Coordinate lab repositories of plasmids and cell lines
- Organize biosafety certification and animal husbandry protocols
- Introduce incoming lab members to common laboratory practices and safety guidelines
- Oversee ordering of research items
- Communicate with vendor representatives regarding orders
WET LAB DUTIES
- Maintain common lab reagents, equipment, and consumables
- Organize, breed, and genotype mouse colonies
- Unpack and distribute orders upon arrival
- Design and execute experiments in support of ongoing projects in the lab
