Boeing Canada Winnipeg is seeking a Professional Tool Inventory Coordinator, reporting to the Materials Management and Transportation Manager, working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba office.
The Tool Inventory Coordinator will join the Fulfillment department. This position will facilitate the acquisition of commodities authorized by manufacturing using procurement systems and processes. Identifies and recommends appropriate solutions to meet manufacturing and process requirements. Reviews delivery and receiving status to meet manufacturing requirements. Satisfies requirements for non-production materials, portable tools (capital/expense), perishable tools, shop supplies in support of manufacturing.
The successful candidate will act as a liaison to different departments and programs to support all hand tool requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of experience with Material Management and Inventory Control
- 2+ years’ experience in Data Analytics
- 3+ years of experience working with any industry ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications & Products)
- Must be familiar with portable hand tool basic operation and mechanism
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE):
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management or Business Management
- 2+ years of experience with Crib Master
- Microsoft Office Suite, proficient with Excel
- Experience preparing and presenting to a team or leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests.
- Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards. Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts.
- Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products.
- Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements.
- Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests.
- Analyzes, procures and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services.
- Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules. Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications.
- Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products.
- Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution.
- Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory.
- Works under limited supervision.
