Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Lead the delivery and administration of professional psychology programs. This includes coordinating courses and units, ensuring they meet the highest standards of educational excellence. Develop comprehensive and innovative curricula that reflect the latest advancements in clinical psychology, preparing students for professional success.
  • People Leadership: Demonstrate strong people leadership by fostering a positive and collaborative academic environment. Support the professional development of academic staff, encouraging continuous learning and growth. Lead by example, promoting a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence.
  • Team Building: Establish and lead a high-performing academic team. Ensure compliance with governance and accreditation standards, maintaining robust program governance structures. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Teaching Excellence: Conduct independent teaching in tutorials, workshops, placement units, and clinical sessions. Utilise innovative teaching methodologies to engage students and enhance their learning experience. Strive for teaching excellence, inspiring students to reach their full potential.
  • Research Supervision: Supervise honours and postgraduate research projects. Provide mentorship and support to students, guiding them through the research process. Foster a rigorous academic environment that encourages critical thinking and innovative research.
  • Committee Participation: Actively contribute to committee work, helping to shape policies and initiatives that drive the discipline forward. Your insights and contributions will be instrumental in advancing the field of clinical psychology and ensuring the continued relevance and excellence of our programs.
