We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Professor in Health Economics. The successful candidate will work jointly across the Department of International Public Health and Department of Clinical Sciences at LSTM.
This strategic post will lead and further develop Health Economics expertise at LSTM, contributing to improving health outcomes in poor/vulnerable populations in low/middle income countries. We are looking to attract a candidate with an outstanding international research reputation, with the collaborative leadership skills and experience to lead and enhance a multi-disciplinary team of health economists.
As a proven leader, you will provide a stimulating, collegial and well managed environment to support the integration of excellent teaching, research and business activities. You will also need to possess the intellectual credibility to lead on research grants in applied health research and delivery in low/middle income countries.
The successful post-holder will have the ability to liaise, influence and develop external strategic relationships with health economists at other HEIs in the UK and globally, as well as with Ministries of Health, Ministries of Finance and key funding agencies to increase the potential impact of research.
