Responsibilities:
PRIMARY PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual for the position of Professor of Practice. This role is designed for industry professionals who have achieved significant success in their field and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience with the next generation of business leaders. These individuals renowned for their achievements in industry and business, will bring invaluable insights and experiences to our academic community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead speaking engagements, represent UCW in professional circles and contribute to the academic community through teaching and service.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The Professor of Practice will, at various times, be responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support UCW’s business objectives, mission, and purpose:
- Advise on industry knowledge and share expertise through seminars, workshops, and lectures, providing students with real-world perspectives and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
- Mentor students and faculty, offering guidance based on extensive business accomplishments and providing insights on course materials to reflect current industry trends and advancement of industry within an academic setting.
- Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on academic and career development.
- Participate in networking events/engagements and represent UCW in professional circles, enhancing the university’s reputation and industry connections both domestically and internationally.
