The Manufacturing fabrication and Maintenance department in the School of Skilled Trades is currently recruiting for a salaried administrative support position to support the programs at Souch campus The successful candidate will provide support to instructional and leadership staff. Under the supervision of the Department Head, this position provides a wide variety of services to ensure the program’s administrative functions in the office are carried out effectively.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Strong working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software
Experience using PeopleSoft and Moodle would be an asset
Knowledge of NAIT departments and NAIT policies and procedures would be a definite asset
Attention to detail and accuracy is critical to this role

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of Grade twelve
Related post-secondary certificate or diploma
2 - 3 years of related experience
Equivalencies may be considered
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $44,256.94 - $57,140.72 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Administrative Support IV).
This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.

Responsibilities:

Providing front support to current and prospective students regarding program information and other assistance as required.
Support program scheduling as well as input and maintain student and staff records in the PeopleSoft SA and ATOMS systems
Apply Microsoft Word and Excel skills for day-to-day program needs
Coordinate assigned activities such as textbook orders, student orientation, maintaining and updating the program action plans
Prepare student manuals, class lists, mark collection sheets and manage student files
Perform reception duties such as telephone and in person inquiries, book appointments and deal appropriately with students and staff
Plan and manage office operations including filing systems (electronic and paper copies), ordering of supplies, etc.
Electronic maintenance of student records on an ongoing basis
Prepare various forms, program documents and spreadsheets
Operate office equipment such as scanners, photocopiers and printers and assist instructors with updating course log information
All meeting minutes (i.e. department, PAC)
Other duties as assigned
