We seek a talented, enthusiastic Program Assistant to support our efforts with the Naval Intelligence Activity (NIA). This is an excellent opportunity to exercise and showcase your growing project management skill sets (hard and soft) as a Program Assistant, providing direct support to an Amentum program manager / senior project manager, senior government executives (SES), and directors.
This position is Hybrid.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION, THE CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • Ability to work within a team structure and with senior government leadership at the GS-15 and SES levels.
  • Ability to stay highly organized and balance multiple tasks
  • Background in executive/senior director-level support
  • Experience using SharePoint applications

    While reporting directly to the Amentum Program Manager / Senior Project Manager, provide support for the NIA Director of Acquisition and Contracts and/or other senior government Directors in support of the NIA Acquisition and Contracts program & portfolio management initiatives as appropriate.
    Successful Candidates for this high-visibility position should clearly exhibit within their resume any experience equivalent to some or all of the following duties, responsibilities and qualifications (required and preferred):

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • TS/SCI Clearance required and must be active at time of application.
  • Minimum 3 years in a professional capacity supporting a team or teams (commercial or government) with experience related to the above description.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint Power Apps & collaboration tools (Teams, List, Power Automate, Planner, Power Apps, SharePoint Pages, Power BI, Forms, etc.).
  • Proficiency within the MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Possess strong communication and organizational skills (both written & Oral).

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED, BUT HELPFUL TO HAVE)

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • CAPM from PMI (Project Management Institute) desirable.
  • Experience using data and metrics to track progress and provide reports to senior executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and update the daily progress of the portfolio team’s projects, tasks and activities.
  • Provide detailed updates to senior project managers or other stakeholders.
  • Monitor various MS SharePoint-based tracking systems for accuracy.
  • Perform MS SharePoint administrative functions.
  • Maintain the portfolio team’s various SharePoint-based webpages, sites and pages.
  • Liaison with external teams and stakeholders on behalf of the team and portfolio directors and executives as needed.
  • Coordinate team meetings via the use of various calendars; organize logistics.
  • Document team meetings, and executive/director external meetings.
  • Draft executive correspondence and participate in the development of policy documents.
