The School of Health and Life Sciences is looking for a self-motivated individual with a great attitude to provide administrative support for the school’s leadership and program staff. As the successful candidate, you will be confident in working independently and interacting with staff, students and other stakeholders. You will exercise good judgment, have the ability to adapt to change and be skilled in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Strong time-management skills and an aptitude for flexibility and life-long learning will be necessary; as will, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
The Program Assistant is often the first point of contact for prospective and returning students in the program. The Program Assistant responds to inquiries from students including admission requirements, course offerings, pre-requisites, enrolment procedures, tuition and program fees, academic and student service information, and is responsible for specific tasks within these areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Business or Office Administration or other related discipline.
- Experience in an administrative role.
- Experience with PeopleSoft would be an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $44,256.94 - $57,140.72 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification – Administrative Support IV).
This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare office correspondence and data reports using Microsoft Office Suite, electronic mail system, and/or to program-specific software.
- Assist the program and department in coordinating and completing projects.
- Provide administrative support for standing program and department meetings.
- Manage and maintain program records (electronic and paper).
- Create, review, and revise program materials; prepare reports and documents as requested.
- Support student selection and enrolment management strategies using Campus Solutions.
- Assist with annual tasks for compliance requirements for program accreditation.
- Plan and organize school, department, and program-specific events.
- Maintain office equipment (printers and photocopier).
- Program responsibilities as assigned.
- General office and front desk duties.
