ABOUT THE BRANCH:
The Integrated Workforce Management (IWFM) Program is a key strategic initiative for Queensland Health that will enhance the roster-to-pay process, deliver positive outcomes to support enhanced workforce management and drive the delivery of tangible benefits for both Hospital and Health Services (HHS) and the Department of Health, through improved tools, processes, and access to workforce decision-support information where and when it is needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- There may be a requirement for intra-state travel.
- While not mandatory a relevant qualification would be well regarded.

Responsibilities:
You will be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the Queensland Public Service values.
- Support the Program Director with researching, developing, implementing and evaluating program business services, policies and work practices and program and project governance to enable the program to operate effectively.
- Utilise and ensure compliance with contemporary human resource management practices and principles including performance management and development, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination requirements.
- Provide expert advice using information management systems to manage, process, plan, monitor and report on administration, finance, human resources, information management, procurement and contract management matters.
- Supporting the Program Director, utilise high levels of financial expertise to maintain an accurate record and forecast of program expenditure to ensure the program achieves best value from its allocated budget.
Role Fit:The essential requirements for this role are:
- Demonstrated experience in providing day-to-day supervision and leadership leading, managing and developing a business team, ensuring strategic and operational objectives are met, ideally in a large project environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the interpretation, and application of public sector financial management, human resource and procurement legislation, policies and frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination, planning, monitoring and reporting/reviewing of budget, complex human resource and other fundamental business management matters.
- Demonstrated application of high level analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify risk and opportunity; analyse and interpret data; and, report on performance, exceptions and trends.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives to directly enhance service delivery outcomes and expectations.
- Demonstrated high level consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to direct and influence others through the provision of high level advice and preparation of high quality reports, briefs, recommendations and proposals.
