Description:

The role supports coordination between the Purchasing function and platform teams (engineering / manufacturing / supply chain) for the development and serial production of vehicles. This includes responsibility of a dedicated perimeter, supporting the negotiation and control of engineering design changes, pre-build costs and volume changes (piece price, tooling, design development, prototype costs and incremental capacity capital/tooling.).

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Control and negotiate the impact of changes during development, with a focus on economic negotiations and timing
Negotiate potential volume increases during development
Final Start of Production price release, including project changes notices
Set-up initiatives to optimize Total Production Cost (TPC) for the dedicated perimeter
Alert Project/ Program Purchasing Manager in case of supplier’s failure/ risks,
Support Supplier Quality teams to meet capacity and quality convergence targets
Lead summary meetings with suppliers and key internal stakeholders
Work with cross functional specialty teams to manage negotiations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, IT, or related fields
Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or other disciplines that require significant negotiation and/or exposure to sourcing/project management processes
Ability to demonstrate past results achievement and leadership skills while working in cross-functional teams
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of management
Self-motivated
Ability to lead and take ownership of projects
Ability to adapt to urgent requests
