Responsibilities:
DIGIT is seeking a Program Control Financial Analyst to create, manage subcontract life cycle and support other program requirements for the Digit contract. The Project Management Analyst will be responsible for subcontractor invoicing, subcontract purchase requisitions, purchase orders, assisting with timesheets, and additional ad hoc reporting. This is a great position for a recent college graduate or for someone early in their financial career, to learn a variety of software systems, learn accounting best practices, and grow within a financial team. Requires minimum of 2 days a week in person in Reston (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Public Trust Clearance by start date.
  • 2-7 years of experience and bachelor’s degree (Economics, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred)
  • Experience demonstrating time management and self-discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset.
  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. Work is performed under supervision.
  • Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others.
  • Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
  • Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Viewing computer screens and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Travel is not required.

Responsibilities:

This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:
- Responsible for creating monthly subcontractor invoices
- Answer partner questions and lead corrective actions related to the subcontract invoices
- Create purchase requisitions for the DIGIT contract
- Track the expected timeline of PO purchases
- Track and verify delivery/receipt of materials.
- Responsible for reviewing labor and ODC costs to ensure they are in alignment with the correct CLIN structure.
- Code all non-labor vendor invoices to process payment based on Net terms of PO.
- Assist with monthly close activities
- Prepare monthly cost accruals and/or journal entries.
- Ensure employees and subcontractors submit their time in T&E on time and accurately.
- Manage employee and subcontractor workforce. Interface with Payroll and IT to ensure employees and Subcontractors are set up properly.
- Assist in setting up charge codes. Maintain a log of eligible charge codes and corresponding descriptions.
- Interact effectively with customers, program managers, finance, and other departments.
- Participate in the ongoing departmental meetings regarding procedures as well as roles and responsibilities.
- Audit support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
