QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- 3 year University degree
Experience:
- 4 years of experience providing administrative support and customer service fast-paced environment
- Experience coordinating the logistics of specialist programs, services and events
- Previous administrative experience in an educational institution is preferred
- Previous experience working in communications utilizing various channels (e.g. web, social media) preferred

Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator (Faculty Research, Communications & Events) plays a crucial role in supporting the school’s research strategy and the Associate Dean, Research (ADR) by delivering exceptional services related to the promotion and dissemination of research. The coordinator is responsible for overseeing both internal and external communication channels and event initiatives aimed at promoting knowledge mobilization and disseminating the work of Ivey’s researchers. The Coordinator serves as a key liaison for postdoctoral employees within the research department, overseeing all their HR-related functions and responsibilities. Furthermore, the Coordinator actively participates in various committees, including the Critical Issues Steering Committee and the Research Policy Committee (RPC), while also providing support to the Ivey Advisory Board. The Coordinator is also responsible for providing support to faculty and postdoctoral scholars in the preparation, writing and development of postdoctoral proposals and grant submissions, including Western’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program. The Coordinator will be responsible for leading faculty training on Elements, case writers, facilitating faculty members in the recruitment and compensation of research personnel, managing data reporting, research visiting grad students, and handling external dataset and software purchases, payments, license distribution and negotiations.
