JOB SUMMARY
Provides academic support to faculty, staff, administrators, and students (undergraduate and graduate) through program/event development, academic advising, and communication management through websites, Blackboard portals, emails, and newsletters. Further advance the operations of the program by implementing process improvement plans and improve document management. Provides liaison between the department and various campus departments; for example, Admissions, and Student Development.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience 1 to 3 years of program coordination experience; working in Higher Ed a plus.
Licenses or Certifications None.
Financial Responsibility Makes financial decisions within University or accepted accounting guidelines, including review of financial reports, purchasing decisions, contract review/negotiation, etc.
Supervision No.
Special Knowledge Event planning and logistics; transcript evaluation; academic program knowledge; career development training.
Responsibilities:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops communication tools and content relating to program policies, deadlines, events, and announcements
- Plans events for the program community.
- Provides clerical support to the Dean and Associate Dean on an as needed basis.
