POSITION
Title: Coordinator – Respite and Residential
Location(s): Hopewell Support Services - Guelph
Department: Residential and Respite Services Team
Reports to: Manager, Residential and Respite Services
JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator – Respite and Residential works as a professional within a clinical multidisciplinary team that follows a biopsychosocial model of intervention for children, youth and adults with complex developmental, physical and emotional challenges. This position involves directly supporting individuals as well as providing administrative supports to the program and Manager. This includes tasks such as scheduling staff, facilitating daily operations and programming in accordance with the supported individuals, Individual Service Plan (ISP), maintaining accurate client records, completing routine reports/documentation, communicating with family/guardians, and ensuring budget compliance. Coordinators will also be instrumental in on-boarding new employees and providing orientation and/or training to all staff.
Responsibilities:
Accountability
- Report to supervisor any contravention of the legislation, standards, or policies and procedures, e.g. defective equipment or hazards in the work environment;
- Understand and follow guidelines for financial accountability with respect to petty cash, purchasing for the individuals and the program, individuals’ accounts etc.;
- Take a leadership role in maintaining compliance with quality assurance measures as mandated by MCCS
