JOB OVERVIEW:
Food Access Coordinator, Wellness Services
The Wellness Services Food Access Coordinator will conduct the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Food Farmacy or pantry operating out of the Rev, Dr. Ronald B, Christian Community Health and Wellness Center at NBIMC. This employee will enroll participants, manage food pantry distributions, and help to meet grant deliverable requirements for the program. The employee will work with our partners at the Community Food Bank of NJ to receive and maintain food pantry inventory. We are seeking an enthusiastic team member passionate about making healthy food available to our community. The Food Access Coordinator will report to the Manager for Wellness Services at NBIMC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Comprehension of food security/food access issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual Spanish or Haitian Creole speaking preferred
- Individuals with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or Public Health are best suited for this job

Responsibilities:
- Registering food pantry clients who are referred by the clinic and completing all necessary enrollment paperwork
- Managing food pantry distribution hours: packing client bags and documenting visits
- Conducting in-person or phone pre- and post-program intervention surveys with clients
- Receiving and stocking food pantry inventory from the Community Food Bank of NJ and other community partners
- Collect enrollment and attendance data for monthly departmental and annual community benefit reporting
- This position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and empathetic skills
