Description:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and successfully perform duties independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including public speaking, the ability to draft promotional documents, and the ability to work and interact effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem solving abilities and ability to maintain discretion and diplomacy toward sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with basic computer programs and systems (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, web browsers and email management programs).
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators across a variety of units in a complex academic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve short- and long-term goals.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan in-person and online events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three (3) or more years’ professional experience in higher education
  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience with UAccess systems
  • Experience managing academic programs
  • Experience in course scheduling and management
  • Experience in awards and recognition processes

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the addition of new academic degree programs, including major, minor, dual degree, and accelerated master’s degree programs. Coordinates efforts with school director, school staff as well as advisors and staff within and outside of the college to advance efforts.
  • Provides coordination support for academic accreditation reports.
  • Maintains records of curricular changes and program history.
  • Work closely with the school director and staff to manage schedule of classes for the school’s graduate and undergraduate degree, minor, and certificate programs for main campus, Arizona Online, and micro campus.
  • Ensure that curriculum and course information on the website, curriculum sheets, and other marketing materials is correct and up to date.
  • Track award cycles and plan for upcoming submissions.
  • Coordinate efforts throughout the awards process –- including evaluating eligibility, soliciting and collecting required supporting materials, and coordinating final awards submissions.
  • Maintain and continually update internal student and alumni records and directories, ensuring accuracy.
  • Act as liaison with local professional organizations - regarding events, awards, and internship opportunities.
  • Manage the vetting and distribution of internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students in school programs.
  • Monitor master’s program applicants and work with Advisors and Graduate Coordinator and to send out letters of offer and track response.
  • Work in coordination with CAPLA and Arizona Online Marketing and Communications staff to author and provide school-specific content, ranging from program descriptions, news articles, and event information.
  • Manage schedule and communication for events including lecture series, faculty candidate campus visits, and visits from accrediting bodies.
