Description:
The Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services (AYE) of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. provides over 2,000 less privileged youth with job training, educational and career services each year. An additional 1,500 young people receive referral and job placement assistance through an extensive network of employers and community organizations.
Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. is one of the largest human services providers in California. The agency operates a variety of programs to serve the poor and strives to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives.
Catholic Charities operates 18 community centers and 10 homeless shelters and also serves the poor with multi-faceted programs, including: after-school child care; immigration, refugee, youth employment and psychological services; homework assistance and tutoring; English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Education diploma (GED) classes for adults; and services for homebound seniors and pregnant and parenting youth. In this way, Catholic Charities maintains a continuum of care for clients as they move from vulnerability to self-sufficiency.
The person in this role will perform essentially the same duties as Program Coordinator but does not yet meet minimum qualifications and/or equivalent work experience and will be a trainee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years of college (actively working toward a bachelor’s degree) and at least one-year related experience.
- Principles of supervision, training, and possible performance evaluation.
- Applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- State program contract administration.
- Assistance with policies and procedures.
- Basic accounting and budget preparation.
- Catholic Charities’ policies, procedures, and organization.

Responsibilities:
- Assists in contract administration and daily operation of program services.
- Prepares program reports.
- Implements specific Agency services, programs or projects.
- Assists in contract administration and daily operations of program services.
- Supervises daily operations, including direct services, administration and record keeping.
- Assist in Preparing budgets and program narratives annually.
- Represents program at various agency and community meetings.
- Performs related duties as required.
