EDUCATION
- Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related field
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Employment Services in the Ottawa area
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and networking skills
- Experience working with at-risk youth
- Experience in curriculum development, program startups and course facilitation, or related experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
- Ability to work with clients and staff with diverse needs, backgrounds, and skills
- Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with a variety of stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must already have a valid permit to work in Canada.
- A Police Record check, not more than 6 months old is required. Police Records checks are reviewed on an individual basis and the offense(s) - if any - is considered in the decision-making process in relation to the requirement of working with children, therefore not eliminating all candidates with a record from being offered a position.
- Semi-annually, staff must complete the mandatory training for the protection of Children & Youth and submit the certificate of completion.

Responsibilities:
- Managing program development and facilitation, ensuring that contractual obligations are exceeded and that there is sufficient community awareness for the program.
- Demonstrating strong leadership to program staff.
- Directly supporting program participants with setting and attaining goals.
- Coordinating and communicating with relevant community partners associated with the program.
- Producing reports within set deadlines and according to parameters set by partners, including financial and activity reporting.
- Supporting and facilitating all evaluation-related activities, including data collection and the facilitation of site visits.
