About the Role:
Our Homelessness team needs you! Reporting directly into the General Manager we have a permanent, full time vacancy for a Program Development Manager to lead the delivery of our Homelessness services within Tasmania.
With eight direct reports including Program Managers, Outreach Workers and Care Finders we are looking for a seasoned leader to ensure homelessness programs are using the national model of care, are resourced with adequate funding, competent staff and managed effectively.

Service Development / Operational Management & People Leadership:

  • Lead and drive a Tasmanian Homelessness services growth strategy
  • Build partnerships with other agencies to ensure clients can access services to meet their needs
  • Seek out, identify and act on new funding opportunities including writing successful tenders
  • Implementation of national research and evaluation frameworks to assist in measuring outcomes of service delivery
  • Be responsible for operational management of all Homelessness services in Tasmania
  • Implement national governance, reporting and accountability management processes
  • Manage the risk associated with delivery of services across the state
  • Assist in preparation and management of program budgets for service delivery
  • Build and lead a team of social service professionals to deliver services within the region, with a positive team culture that demonstrates The Salvation Army’s values and mission

About you:

  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including extensive management experience
  • Active membership in community or government bodies within the sector
