Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Program Lead, Airport Revitalization to join our team. This position is based out of Mississauga.
- Oversee the delivery of airport revitalization works, ensuring alignment with scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk requirements.
- Lead and manage the sub-program team to foster a unified and cohesive team environment.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, while collaborating with the stakeholder relations team to ensure alignment and communication.
- Implement and enforce the sub-program’s governance and execution plan, ensuring adherence throughout the program lifecycle.
- Provide consolidated performance updates to the Program Director and present progress reports at regular forums.
- Manage contractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and successful delivery of program objectives.
- Identify, manage, and escalate change decisions, coordinating with PMO Services to facilitate the change management process.
- Lead monthly sub-program progress reviews and report on key metrics to the Program Director.
- Highlight resourcing needs to the Program Director for coordination with PMO Services and the Technical Shared Services teams.
- Prepare and issue monthly program progress reports and update PMIS dashboards to reflect progress and performance.
- Collaborate with the Program Director and other Program Leads to ensure seamless delivery of the overall Revitalization Program.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development support to staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A University Degree + 10 years of experience in a program management role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years in a program management leadership role.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in a program management leadership role.
- At least 5 years of experience on large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs, with a focus on delivering terminal restoration and improvement works valued at over CAD $500 million.
- Proven expertise in program management and/or relevant technical disciplines necessary for delivering complex programs.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams to execute and deliver complex projects and programs effectively.
- Strong technical proficiency across all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, preferably within large-scale programs or projects.
- Extensive experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic-level reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Familiarity with collaborative project environments and significant experience with progressive contracting models, such as Progressive Design-Build and Target Price.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops with large, diverse groups of stakeholders.
- A recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field are considered strong assets.
