Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Tidal Basin seeks a candidate to join our team as a Program Lead. The Program Lead position will assist in one or more programs that provide temporary housing and meals following recent disasters. The Program Lead will work closely with the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and other program leadership and oversees roles focused tasks such as Applicant Services, Logistics, and Operations. This position represents an exceptional opportunity to join an expert team to facilitate change and help make a lasting difference.
The Program Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating activities, ensuring the successful implementation of projects, and achieving program goals. The objective of the Program Lead is to oversee specific functional areas and the associated implementation teams, support the development of policies and procedures, update and maintain program documents and policies in compliance with state and federal law, and to effectively communicate these policies and procedures to the program staff.
The Program Lead will coordinate closely with the state administering agency to ensure all policy decisions receive appropriate/necessary approvals and are compliant with state and federal regulations. The Program Lead will work closely with the Training Manager to ensure all staff and partners are trained in the most up to date policy and procedures. The Program Lead will be responsible for tracking any new guidance and making appropriate updates to program policies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and pro-actively identify key steps to complete requested client outcomes.
  • Excellent client relations and an understanding of local, state, and federal government structure
  • Experience working with federal grant-funded program

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; AND,
  • 5+ years in case management, financial management, accounting, application processing, grant-funded or government programs or related fields
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience managing a team of professionals is required
  • Experience with federally funded housing programs a plu

Responsibilities:

Lead policy creation and development and work effectively as part of a team to provide expert services. Specific duties may include:

  • Provide expert assistance to teams implementing applicant services, hotels and meals, and/ or internal operations
  • Provide technical assistance on policies, principles, and standard operating procedures related to the program.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and other task leads to ensure workflow processes are efficient and effective
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Manage and update all program policies and procedures as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and guidance.
  • Ensure absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and uphold data integrity policies.
  • Ensures program service and procedure issues are resolved.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
