BGC Okanagan is hiring Program Leaders for our Recreation Programs. The Program Area Leader is responsible for the development and implementation of the Recreation Program for Children and Youth ages 6 - 13 years. The Recreation Program includes Physical Activity, Creative Arts, Leadership, Community Outings and Fun!!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or other social services.
• Current First Aid certificate
• Class 4 Driver License or willingness to obtainSuccessful completion of Agency screening including a Criminal Record Check
• 
  Hours: Casual hours available
  Rate of Pay: $19.82 per hour

• Oversees the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards.
• Supervise and interact with children and youth in a positive and supportive manner to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Transporting participants in Agency Vans to various sites for recreational purposes.
• Establish open communication with parent’s/care givers.
• Plans and implements activities and special events for a program.
• Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by performing duties such as producing promotional materials and attending community events.Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
