  • Creative problem-solver who can craft new processes and is comfortable with updating and changing processes to improve outcomes.
  • Able to write effectively on a wide array of subjects, in a wide variety of writing styles, for a wide variety of media and audience types, especially internal audiences.
  • Possess creative marketing, copywriting and editing skills, including outstanding skills in English grammar and spelling; and the ability to edit and proofread.
  • Proven ability to clearly define objectives and priorities, establish milestones, anticipate and mitigate risks and exceed goals in a dynamic environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail and quick recall.
  • Experience with the creation of strategic communications plans as well as expertise related to the planning and implementation of integrated marketing and communication projects is important.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to develop highly visual presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Public Relations/Communications or Related Field
  • 7 years of professional work experience in communications
  • 3 years of professional work experience in marketing
  • Proven project management experience, PMP certification would be an asset
  • Experience developing and implementing critical communications and marketing plans, as well as large-scale campaign communications initiatives
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills with a creative flair, and the ability to thrive in a face paced environment, supporting tight initiatives
  • Experience with employee digital channels
  • Solid experience and understanding of HR programs and services
  • Must have a Valid Ontario driver’s licenseG class
  • Able to acquire and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
