CONTEXT:

Sanctus Solutions is currently expanding its team in preparation to submit a comprehensive proposal for a large, three-year project in response to a Request for Proposal (RFP). This initiative represents a significant opportunity, and we are seeking highly qualified professionals to join our team. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the education or public sector, as these areas are critical to the success of the project. Candidates should be comfortable with their resumes being shared with the client as part of the proposal submission process.

SUMMARY

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a suite of related projects to ensure they align with the overall program goals. You will plan and design the program, monitor its progress, and take corrective action when necessary. You will also be responsible for the governance, budget management, and communication across all projects within the program, ensuring that the program is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (equivalencies related to education and work experience will be considered).
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, preferably in an IT or professional services environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, capable of conveying ideas, recommendations, and decisions clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with change management and/or design thinking principles is an asset.
  • Program management certifications or designations are considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning and Monitoring: Plan and design the program while proactively monitoring its progress. Resolve issues and initiate corrective actions as necessary to ensure the program stays on track.
  • Program Management: Lead and manage complex programs consisting of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Mentor and provide leadership to a team of project managers, ensuring successful project delivery across the programs.
  • Governance and Oversight: Recommend and establish the governance and oversight required for the program, ensuring adherence to practices, standards, and processes.
  • Quality Assurance and Integrity: Ensure effective quality assurance and maintain the overall integrity of the program, focusing on consistency within the program and adherence to established standards.
  • Budget Management: Manage the program’s budget, monitor expenditures, and compare costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progresses.
  • Product and Service Delivery: Ensure that the delivery of products and services from constituent projects meets the appropriate level of quality, is on time, and stays within budget, in accordance with the program plan and governance arrangements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Manage communications with all stakeholders to keep them informed and engaged throughout the program’s lifecycle.
  • Dependency and Interface Management: Manage both the dependencies and interfaces between projects within the program to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks to ensure the program’s successful outcome, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
  • Additional Activities and Interventions: Initiate additional activities and management interventions as necessary to address gaps or issues within the program.
  • Progress Reporting: Report the progress of the program at regular intervals to key stakeholders and the Portfolio Manager, ensuring transparency and accountability.
