Description:

The Program Manager is an integral member to the Index Business Strategy and Services team. This role requires a strong project management skill set, deep understanding of Index culture, strong leadership and management skills and effective communication and collaboration acumen. This role works closely with Index Product Managers, Market Data Services and the Sales teams and manages multiple business initiatives as we grow the Index business. The Program Manager is responsible for supervising a team of project managers through effective direction and management of team resources, while maintaining accountability for delivery of business initiatives in alignment with Index business objectives.

  • Lead and manage a Project Management team, providing guidance, coaching, feedback and mentorship to ensure team success.
  • Drive effective project/program execution and deliver defined results across all ongoing team efforts.
  • Work with your team to review projects and identify risks and dependencies.
  • Help identify process gaps and work with the team and other key stakeholders to mitigate.
  • Lead the team in strategic goal setting to ensure project objectives are achievable and align with the Index strategic pillars.
  • Support escalation of issues and risks by collaborating with leadership across the Index business.
  • Responsible for essential project management activities and stakeholder interaction building strong relations and trust with internal/external clients.
  • Develop project scope in partnership with business sponsors and stakeholders for multiple, concurrent projects and/or a single large project with multiple deliverables or components.
  • Build collaborative partnerships across all teams and key Index partners to ensure seamless execution and problem resolution.
  • Estimate staff resource requirements and assign and secures resources to meet project objectives.
  • Create and drive timelines and roadmaps that ensure quality product delivery.
  • Measure project success through established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop project status reports and help prepare steering committee pre sentations for Index Business senior leadership.
  • Provide updates and feedback to team members and vendors.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in project management, product management or a related field.
  • At least 4+ years professional experience managing a team through successful project implementations.
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certified or actively working towards the certification.
  • Effective facilitation skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead a team through multiple, cross-functional, and time-sensitive projects.
  • Experience with Agile methodology strongly preferred.
  • Ability to establish and grow positive working relationships with fellow team members, Index senior leadership, and other teams within Nasdaq.
  • College Degree in related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a culture of positivity, support and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Able to motivate teams and manage customer expectations in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in working cross-functionally to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an objective and results-driven approach to project management.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to navigate, influence and negotiate across the Index team.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an acute ability to lead a team and prioritize and manage multiple, time-sensitive projects.
