PROGRAM MANAGER

Status: Temporary Full Time (6 months)
Department: Residential - McKay and Case Management
Program: Durham Mental Health Services
Days - 8 Hour Shifts (Subject to Change)

Wage Schedule: $40.490 - $55.120 per hour

Position Description:
The Program Manager will be responsible for the operation and management of the Durham Mental Health Services ("DMHS") Residential Housing Program, which includes managing seven (7) locations, including McKay, Scott, Skene, Ballantyne, Sims, Smith, and Barlow.
Duties and Responsibilities:
" Working collaboratively as part of the management team is essential.
" Ensure financial guidelines are followed.
" Collect statistical data and prepare written reports.
" Plan and implement strategies to ensure program objectives are met.
" Manage/Coach team to achieve organizational and personal objectives in line with the Collective Agreement and relevant Human Resource policies.
" Ensure staff compliance with agency/program procedures and standards.
" Ensure regular, ongoing program development and evaluation.
" Build community capacity through partnerships and stakeholder events.
" Provide on-call support in emergency situations to staff after hours.
Qualifications:
" Degree or diploma in a relevant human services program, BA preferred.
" 3-5 years of management/leadership experience
" At least five years of experience in the social services field
" Expertise in the mental health field, including a thorough knowledge of the Mental Health Act, PHIPA, crisis intervention, concurrent disorders, and mental health issues.
" Demonstrated leadership competencies including solution focused problem solving, critical thinking, inter-personal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
" Superior organizational and time-management skills
" Strong client service focus
" Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
" Full proficiency with MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher)
" Driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.
" Must have satisfactory performance record.
