JOB DESCRIPTION

The National Energy Foundation (NEF) is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to cultivating energy literacy among K-12 students, teachers and families. NEF achieves its mission by developing and implementing STEM-based energy education programs that focus on energy efficiency and safety, electric transportation, energy workforce development and other current energy topics. EDUCATION

A college degree is preferred, but relevant experience may also be considered.

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Google Maps, Excel, and email.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage timelines and multitask.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexible and available for training sessions.
    This role requires someone who can stay organized while managing multiple priorities, adapt to shifting needs, and ensure that NEF’s programs run seamlessly for schools, sponsors, and families.

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE AS PROGRAM MANAGER

As a Program Manager, you will be at the heart of NEF’s efforts to foster energy literacy in schools and communities. Your role will directly contribute to making a difference in students’ and teachers’ lives by ensuring that NEF’s energy education programs are effectively delivered, from initial enrollment through to post-program evaluation. You will support the program director and lead a team of program schedulers, coordinating multiple moving parts to ensure each program runs smoothly and meets the needs of participating schools. This is a full-time, remote position, offering an opportunity to combine strategic planning with hands-on involvement in program operations.
