The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Health Professions seeks a PROGRAM MANAGER II to report to the Program Directors of the Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA) degree program in the Department of Health Services Administration. The UAB MSHA program is approaching a 60-year history of successfully educating healthcare leaders. It is currently ranked as the #1 health care management graduate program in the country by U.S. News World Report. Each year, nearly 150 students, ranging from immediately post-baccalaureate students to health professionals (clinicians and managers), are matriculating through the program. The MSHA Program also maintains a robust alumni network that spans across the United States, and offers additional learning and networking opportunities for current students. Alongside the Program Directors and other staff positions, this position will manage the residential and executive formats of the MSHA program in accordance with maintaining standards as outlined by the industry and the Commission on the Accreditation for Health Management Education (CAHME).

    Annual Salary Range: $45,395 - $73,770
    Qualifications
    Bachelor s degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accreditation management, competency assessment, and other reporting activities
  2. Admissions and recruitment
  3. On-campus logistics
  4. Ongoing student communication including curricular guidance
  5. Financial aid administration of scholarships and graduate teaching assistantship positions
  6. Fostering professional networks among students, alumni, and other program stakeholders. In addition, the position will also have responsibilities that require budgeting, technical training and assistance, maintenance of policies and procedures, and event planning.
