Description:
HOURS: Tuesday - Saturday (37.5 hours per week)
REPORTS TO: Director & Senior Manager of Housing

The Supportive Housing Manager is responsible for overseeing wâpan’acâhk wâskahikan, Boyle Street’s Supportive Housing program, and providing leadership of the staff working at the site. The Program Manager has the responsibility and authority to create, develop, manage, and evaluate the service delivery at wâpan’acâhk wâskahikan .
The Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation and maintenance of Care Plans that are person- centered, provide choice, and are flexible and adaptive to meet client needs by using a strength-based approach. The Program Manager ensures the guiding values of Boyle Street Community Services are upheld in all activities and services undertaken at wâpan’acâhk wâskahikan .

This position will work in close collaboration with the Director/Senior Manager of Housing, as well as an Assistant Manager to oversee programing and services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-Secondary Degree in a relevant field of study is preferred
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership/management role and at least 2 years delivering community services
- Experience networking with a range of partners and stakeholders
- Police Check with the Vulnerable Sector and Child and Youth Intervention Check completed within the past six months
- Valid First Aid certificate or enrolled in a future course
- Experience with and knowledge of Indigenous culture and ceremonies is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Non GDL license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing Boyle Street’s Supportive Housing site, wâpan’acâhk wâskahikan
- Providing leadership that will create and maintain a well-motivated, competent, and multi-disciplinary team.
- Providing performance evaluation and supervision to staff.
- Ensuring the site is fully staffed.
- Overseeing the management of effective systems for intake and assessment of referrals, and the delivery of services to them.
- Managing fiscal and human resources allocated to the projects.
- Liaising with key external stakeholders, including funders, community organizations, property owners and government entities.
- Ensure program is meeting contractual targets and align with the agency’s values.
- Producing reports in accordance with contractual obligations and managing program evaluation.
- Plan and facilitate team meetings and reflections.
- Support in integrating and facilitating Cultural activities and ceremonies.
- Facilitate the rental process for effective unit turnover: potential tenant screening, showing of vacant suites, completing required paperwork for suite rentals, key distribution, damage deposit collection and maintain rental waitlist.
- Manage and coordinate interior and exterior repairs, maintenance, installations, landscaping, etc., as required (both preventative and emergency maintenance) with maintenance personal and property management.
- Ensuring effective communication and coordination with other Boyle Street programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director/Senior Manager of Housing, which may include: supervising students, organizing program events outside of regularly scheduled work hours (evenings & weekends), co-facilitating program meetings and/or resident meetings, etc.
