The US Strategy, Program Management & Business Operations team is responsible for defining and overseeing the implementation of the overall business strategy and plans for the US market, which is one of the company’s top strategic priorities.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Booking.com’s US Program Management Team is looking for a Program Manager to support delivery of strategic initiatives with the aim of accelerating growth in the US Market. This role will be based out of the Amsterdam HQ Office.
The US Program Management Team is responsible for defining and overseeing the execution of the growth strategy for Booking.com in the United States. The Team works closely with teams across Booking.com & partners with other Booking Holdings brands, including Priceline and Agoda, as we consider how to best leverage our collective strengths within the US market.
The Program Manager will be responsible for driving initiatives that span Product, Demand and Supply & work closely with Teams across multiple business units, including Accommodations, Trips, Fintech & Customer Service. You will contribute to our US Governance Program, including end-to-end ownership & organization of our cross-collaborative relationship with engaged teams. You will work with teams across the business to gather high priority commitments for the US market, jointly develop plans, support prioritization, monitor status, mitigate and expedite delays, and regularly prepare and present program updates to stakeholders. You will also be responsible for partnering with different stakeholders to project manage high priority initiatives to support smooth execution of plans. The main goal of this role is to ensure the effective & efficient delivery of the US strategic plan, driving both foundational elements and strategic initiatives to capture growth.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized & results-driven with excellent communication skills & strong business acumen. This person should be self-motivated, collaborative and a strategic thinker who is excited to work in a high impact, cross-collaborative role and who can lead programs & projects in an ambiguous environment with little oversight. REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years complex program or project management experience, preferably in a global organization.
  • Strong project management skills/experience including experience with a range of different methodologies and techniques.
  • Ability to solve complex problems independently. Able to break up a complex problem into actionable and easy to understand solutions. They are hands on and drive solutions to problems in partnership with the involved parties, while focusing on the opportunities.
  • Solid business understanding, independently use quantitative and qualitative data to drive strategic direction & decision making. Ability to create a cohesive business case and tell a clear story with data/insights.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with people of diverse background, seniority and domains including large audiences. Skilled communicator and proven relationship builder, able to operate within a multitude of formal and informal networks while managing the competing interests of varied stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills focused on collaboration. Building and maintaining lasting relationships and connections with diverse teams, across the organization and outside. Ability to work effectively and influence at Director and Senior Director level
  • Flexibility and the ability to function well within ambiguity and in a constantly changing environment.
  • Highly organized and structured and make sure all processes run smoothly and in a reliable manner.
  • Be able to lead, motivate, and manage stakeholders and project/program teams to achieve organizational goals. They also should be able to influence and steer leadership, senior management and groups. Challenge assumptions and ability to adapt or generate imaginative and innovative ideas
  • Change Management experience at program level
  • Program Managers make sure the program’s outcomes are in line with customer needs and/or expectations
  • Past experience working in Tech or a for 2-sided marketplace is a plus
  • Knowledge of the US online travel industry is a plus
