Description:
BCIT’s School of Business and Media (“SOBM”) is seeking a regular full-time (1.0 FTE) Program Planning Analyst. This position will work in the Business Administration Department (“BUSA”) and will provide support and oversee the operations various academic programs. Through collaboration with Faculty and Management, the Program Planning analyst will act as Program Head for a number of BUSA Programs, providing academic advice and guidance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ related work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to advanced placement and prior learning assessments.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the use of current analytical software (Excel, Tableau, SPSS, Access).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work within, and develop, a collegial environment.
- Familiarity with research methodology and experience doing research in relevant prior learning, skills assessment and other education related areas.
- Familiarity with BCIT programs, including entrance requirements and bridging and advanced placement pathways.
- Experience working with groups, such as: Canadian Forces members, first responders, mature students.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Informing and assisting Students in assessing potential programs and facilitating their enrollment in specific BUSA Programs.
- Working with the Registrar’s office and Student Records to facilitate enrolment.
- Works with and recruiting Faculty
- Facilitating Curriculum Development as required.
- Helping identify transferrable knowledge, skills, and abilities first responders and mature students.
- Administering approved evaluations, assessments and tests used for determining advanced placement into the Fire Executive Management Program
- Participating in program information sessions and provide information on specific assigned programs BCIT programs as well as other opportunities which are available.
- Liaising with external partners, as needed, working with faculty and management in development of educational pathways for external partner groups, as needed.
