Looking for a rewarding, high profile and challenging Program Manager position supporting projects for the US Air Force? Serco has a great opportunity for you! The Program Manager will lead a dynamic team supporting a full range of Engineering, Facility Construction and requirements development services and deliverables in support of the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom (UK). 48th CES supports multiple customers as part of the United States Visiting Force (USVF) in the UK.
Based at RAF Lakenheath (Suffolk, UK), the Program Manager will be responsible for administering all program requirements and will be the focal point of all government communications. The Program Manager will serve as the representative for the USAF project/program management team to deliver the program on schedule, on budget and within scope.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the planning of construction site visits, quality verifications and integrated planning schedule are maintained to ensure the major project program is managed in accordance with the Project Management Institute’s Standard for Portfolio Management and the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
- Oversee the quality of project programming and planning products produced by the team and compliance with Air Force and DoD Regulations, Instructions and Handbooks.
- Ensure furnishings and fit out planning are accomplished, the requirements packages are prepared, and delivery/installation is scheduled to align with project/program milestones.
- Ensure that site visits are conducted, and construction is in accordance with the US design intent and will satisfactorily meet the US requirements, standards and codes.
- Ensure that projects meet the requirements of federal, state, and local regulations
- You will be part of a 10–15-person team that works across Serco-NA.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Active DoD Secret Level Security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
- A High School Diploma and 5 to 10 years of working experience in planning, programming, and construction of military related project and at least 5 years of experience involved in airfields related to the job description listed above and additional experience and education can be in lieu of experienced.
- Demonstrable experience with UK and US design and construction standards.
- Demonstrable understanding applicable UK and US health and safety standards
- The ability to travel up to 10% as requested
- A current US Passport
Additional desired experience and skills:
- 10 years of working experience in planning, programming, and construction of military related project and at least 5 years of experience involved in airfields related to the job description listed above.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field related to the job description listed above.
- Master’s related to the job description listed above.
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification
- International Driving Permit (IDP) is preferred
- A valid US Driver’s License, REAL ID
