The Program Risk Manager will assist the Senior Manager, Program Risk to partner with and support all programs and projects across the business (with a strong emphasis on the One Endeavour transformation program). The role will strengthen and continuously improve the management of program risk, and build risk/compliance awareness, engagement and capability throughout the organisation.
Working within program managers, project managers and central program offices, the role will have the opportunity to meaningfully affect the outcomes of programs and projects across the organisation that are critical to Endeavour’s strategy.
The Program Risk Manager will support the Senior Manager, Program Risk to focus on Endeavour’s transformation program and be involved in a wide range of programs and projects that have diverse business stakeholders. This role will assist in implementing a relevant program risk framework for governing programs and projects, while also gaining a strong understanding of Endeavour’s business, purpose, and strategy. The successful candidate will use their expertise in risk management to support and facilitate Endeavour’s growth and mission. Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Provide risk management support across the business and continue to embed risk management into our culture and business.
  • Establish the program risk management framework including risk identification, risk assessment/analysis, project maturity and controls assessment, documentation and reporting - this will be done working closely with other risk colleagues and partnering with program, project and central program office stakeholders, and will include facilitating discussion and workshop sessions.
  • Work across the program portfolio and identify, assess and help address cross program risks and issues.
  • Help establish a centre of excellence and support to deliver strong project outcomes.
  • Educate program and project managers to understand that they are required to, develop strategies to proactively address risks and their subsequent mitigations through early identification of risks and the implementation of a risk management strategy.
  • Enable risk insights to assist program and project leaders to enable early intervention (including the use of data/indicators/tools, lessons learnt, improved governance, etc).
  • Help establish Endeavour’s project assurance framework and support implementation focussed on risk.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Endeavour’s program risk management and broader project delivery frameworks, strategies and methodologies.
  • Assist with continuing to embed risk management into our culture and ways of working, including identifying new and innovative ways of approaching risk management tailored to the business audience.
  • Program risk partnering with a focus on Endeavour’s transformation program.
  • Become the go-to SME of program risk management for key programs and projects.
  • Support the program or project leadership and teams to embed their risk management strategies and enable uplift in capabilities across the teams.
  • Proactively build effective relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of the business, its purpose and strategy.
  • Apply your risk knowledge, experience and influencing skills to build risk awareness, engagement and understanding across the business
  • Provide training and guidance to build risk awareness, engagement and facilitate meetings and discussion with internal business stakeholders on risk management.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to modernise, operationalise and embed risk management amongst the project community with the goal of building an appropriate risk-aware culture throughout the organisation.
  • Work closely with data analytics specialists and business partners to identify, develop, test and report on controls monitoring.
  • Support program and project teams in the review of results, analysis and improvement of processes and controls.
  • Prepare various forms of reporting for a broad range of stakeholders including Board and senior management.
  • Other relevant tasks within the Endeavour Risk & Compliance team and/or One Endeavour Program Risk team as required.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

  • Strong experience working within a risk compliance or assurance role in a consulting/advisory firm or established corporate function.
  • Strong blended project management experience with significant involvement in risk/compliance/assurance management as part of those roles
  • Technical skills in / knowledge of risk management fundamentals including risk and controls assessment and business process reviews
  • Experience with the preparation of internal reports
  • Tertiary qualification in business/commerce or other relevant discipline
  • Desirable - Risk experience in a retail and/or FMCG industry
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting and visualisation tools
  • Experience with Google suite
