Job Description
To start with, the position of R&D Program Specialist Multi Serve Coffee Mixes sits comfortably in the R&D Multi Serve team of the Global Research & Development, Quality and Food Compliance department. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a R&D Program Specialist you will be asked to deliver innovation and excellence for all JDE PEET’S business ambitions. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
- Lead groups to deliver new product & processing designs whether for existing portfolio, line extensions or white space opportunities.
- Contribute to the realization of the business value creation plan by technical innovation and capability development.
- Scope R&D projects by assessing R&D program proposals and provides advice to the Category Manager & Category Director.
- Portfolio management to ensure lean and fit-for purpose menucard.
- Responsible and accountable of an effective hand-over of projects to the R&D Program team, ensuring successful implementation & delivery in the next phase of the projects.
- Proactive competitor landscape scouting and scope of new business opportunities for JDE based on market dynamics.

Given the nature of the role we feel it’s important for you to have a certain level of experience with product innovation as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. - Education in an Engineering or Food science food related technical field (e.g., Biochemistry, Food Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering)
- Over 8 years of proven track record with product development & innovation or process technologies in the food industry (R&D or Operations)
- Interaction and influence at a senior management level
