Responsible for the provision and monitoring of administrative processes required for the reporting and compliance of courses and programs offered by the University.

  • HEW 4 - $70,530 p.a. plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role
You will be responsible for the provision and monitoring of administrative processes required for the reporting and compliance of courses and programs offered by the University to students in Barwon South West Region prisons as per the contractual obligations of Corrections Victoria (CV). You will also provide general administrative support as part of the broader Federation TAFE administration team when required.

You will:

  • provide efficient and effective administration support for courses and programs;
  • contribute to ensuring Federation TAFE and the University meet its contractual obligations with CV;
  • liaise with Student Administration, Head of Centre, Corrections Education and Program Coordinators and enter data into both the University student and CV databases; and
  • develop and maintain an understanding of the relevant University policies, procedures, finance and other related processes.

About you
Reporting to the TAFE Coordinator, you will develop comprehensive knowledge related to education in a correctional setting and the administrative and contractual requirements and expectations of CV.

You will possess:

  • skills and experience in the provision of quality administrative services;
  • interpersonal and communication skills to provide quality customer service at all levels;
  • demonstrated ability to interpret policies, procedures and other legal documents in order to monitor compliance with attention to detail;
  • ability to draft documents, correspondence and prepare reports including the ability to deal with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality; and
  • a Victorian Police Record Check.
