Responsibilities:

MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA MAHI | ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient individual with strong office administration skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management abilities, fast and accurate word processing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Effective communication is key, as the role requires well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written skills, along with exceptional formatting and layout capabilities. Knowledge of meeting procedures and minute keeping is essential, and a background in the tertiary education sector would be advantageous.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $54,000 and $57,000, dependent on skills and experience.

THE PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATOR IS BASED IN OUR ADMINISTRATION TEAM | TE PŪKENGA REPORTING TO THE FACULTY ADMINISTRATION MANAGER AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Customer Services and Support: Provide quality information at the school reception, update knowledge of programs/courses, respond to enquiries, inform prospective students of changes, and assist in school activities.
  • Administration: Assist the Administration Manager and Heads of School, process correspondence, organize class lists and timetables, attend meetings, maintain student records, ensure timely enrolment processing, and handle student marks and results.
  • Programme/Tutor Support: Provide administrative support including word processing, arranging interviews, organizing evaluations, supporting student placements, and assisting other schools within the faculty.
  • General Duties: Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System, attend faculty and institute meetings, update skills through relevant courses, develop positive working relationships across campuses, and assist with mail and other tasks.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any additional tasks relevant to the position as requested by the position manager.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Administrative Skills: Essential knowledge and experience in office administration, including fast and accurate word processing, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organization and time management abilities are crucial.
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential, along with excellent formatting and layout abilities.
  • Meeting and Minute Keeping: Knowledge of meeting procedures and minute keeping is required.
  • Customer Service and Sector Knowledge: Excellent customer service skills are essential, with knowledge of the tertiary education sector being an advantage.
