Organizational Setting
The Director General’s Office (DGO) provides leadership and coordination for all IAEA activities at the executive level for meeting Member States’ needs, and achieving a one-house approach and a results-based management.
Main Purpose
Under the supervision and guidance of the senior DGO staff, provide programme and coordination support, carry out the tasks required in terms of research, analysis and implementation of the activities related to programme development, monitoring and performance assessment, including support to the programme and budget planning and implementation for DGO and ORDG as well as other activities of cross-cutting programmatic as well as administrative nature.

Functions / Key Results Expected

  • Supports the coordination of work of DGO with IAEA Departments/Offices in the area of Human Resources Management and Administration.
  • Reviews and coordinates programme proposals and performance assessments in line with the results-based approach; assists senior staff in providing guidance to IAEA Departments/Offices on programme formulation, implementation and assessment.
  • Assists in activities of cross-cutting programmatic (e.g. knowledge management, partnerships and resource mobilization, gender mainstreaming) and administrative nature.
  • Maintains and updates relevant SharePoint sites and provides senior DGO staff with reports on Agency’s data.
  • Assists in programme and budget planning and implementation for DGO and ORDG.
  • Contributes to the preparation of documents and reports for submission to Board of Governors. Support the preparation of presentations and other communication material.
  • Assists with ERP system related actions and the official documents on programme and budget, mid-term and performance assessment to ensure accuracy of information and coordinates clearances; acts as contact point for AIPS/PBCS for substantive programme issues.

Qualifications, Experience and Language skills
Completed secondary education.
A minimum six years of administrative experience and at least five of which are in the area of programme development.
Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
Administrative skills test to IAEA standard may be part of the process.
Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at EUR 64965 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), 6 weeks’ annual vacation, pension plan and health insurance.
