Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Pathway Group aspires to be an organisation that Changes Lives Through Skills and Work with the aim of making a meaningful and impactful difference to clients and learners. We do this by nurturing and maintaining excellent and effective relationships with funding bodies, employers, learners, and other relevant stakeholders.
The Learner Loans Coordinator will oversee the management and development of the Pathway Group’s Advanced Learner Loans programme. This role involves strategic business planning, financial stewardship, contract management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful programme delivery and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Oversee end-to-end contracts management for Pathways Learner Loans Programme, coordinating the operational delivery, development, and growth of funding and contracts, working closely with key partners
  • Supervise business planning and development, budget preparation, and budget management, demonstrating strong financial stewardship and strategic planning skills.
  • Manage budgets and resources within organisational standards and procedures to ensure effective financial control.
  • Create and nurture business relationships to secure future opportunities.
  • Implement robust project management and review procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders and funding organisations.
  • Monitor and drive contract performance, identify risks to achieve target outcomes, ensuring quality and compliance and implement improvement plans as needed
  • Take ownership of sales and business development activities, identifying and initiating opportunities aligned with company objectives.
  • Promote Pathway Groups policy developments and initiatives relevant to UK skills delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Job Centres, partner organisations, employers, and funding bodies.
  • Engage with external organisations and support the tendering process to create new partnership opportunities.
  • Liaise with departments to ensure operational support is aligned with the employer engagement strategy and business development.
  • Oversee regular contract reviews to assess performance and plan for future targets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory changes, including Ofsted trends, and support internal and external audits.
  • Facilitate weekly status reports on contract milestones, KPI progress, and risk management.
  • Respond to commissioner requirements for contract progress reporting and assurance.
  • Monitor regional targets, ensuring sign-ups, leads, and completers are consistently met.
  • Motivate and coach team members to achieve personal and business objectives.
  • Conduct supervisory and team meetings, including appraisals, to maintain or improve service levels.
  • Oversee activities related to MIS, systems, and database management.WE EXPECT YOU TO:Have a strong demonstrable knowledge of the skills and employability sector specifically in the niche we deliver, have an understanding of the funding landscape, incorporating both the ESFA and Ofsted criteria and being commercially aware of new opportunities that build and add to our existing ecosystem.Drawing on your extensive background, it’s essential that you bring a wealth of experience in several key areas to this role. Your expertise should include:
  • Demonstrate forensic attention to detail and meticulous data analytical skills with an understanding of Business development, Compliance, Quality and Customer Focussed excellence
  • A strong track record in performance and/or contract management frameworks, demonstrating your ability to oversee complex systems and maintain high standards.
  • A solid background in business planning, budget preparation, and budget management, evidencing your proficiency in financial stewardship and strategic planning.
  • Experience working with adult learners or in the adult education field, highlighting your understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector.
  • You must have proven experience of sales/recruitment in a target driven industry, developing productive relationships with employers, partners, and external agencies and also able to provide high quality employability focused assessment
  • Proven experience of key stakeholder engagement at the highest levels
