Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Commercial Performance team at CIPFA on a one year fixed term contract.
Leading and Managing the day-to-day activity and success of the AFEP programme (Achieving Finance Excellence in Policing), you will work with various stakeholders internally and externally to achieve programme objectives. You will proactively monitor progress and success of the AFEP programme, alongside resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Project Management qualification or equivalent
  • Proven ability to establish productive relationships at a senior level and conduct effective commercial negotiations
  • Understanding of current issues within or related to the UK Public Sector

Responsibilities:

  • Selling the new AFEP programme to all 45 police forces across the UK by focusing on building strong relationships with police forces and responding to policing challenges and changing customer needs.
  • Managing the AFEP programme subscription products including training and events, consultancy, data dashboards, CIPFA publications and more. Plus working with stakeholders to ensure the programme stays relevant and members are fully engaged at all times.
  • Being the dedicated point of contact for all AFEP subscribers, involving regular communications, supporting enquiries and reacting to feedback when required. Attend face-to-face client meetings as and when appropriate.
  • Effective budget management, reporting to Finance and Head of Commercial Performance to ensure that key internal organisational processes including sales reports, budget monitoring, business planning and management accounts are completed to agreed standards and corporate timetables.
  • Plan and deliver the annual CFO retreat and other networking events involving sourcing speakers, working with events and sponsorship teams internally to manage overall event creation.
