We support colleagues across the institution so that we can be a successful and effective university that achieves its vision and ambitions. We are seeking to employ a programme manager to deliver the key recommendations from the university’s recent review of its global engagement activity. As Programme Manager, you will:

  • Develop a series of projects and initiatives focussed on embedding the desired outcomes and benefits highlighted in the recent Global Engagement review.
  • Manage their delivery against the agreed cost, benefit, time and scope parameters, ensuring appropriate plans, risk and governance structures are put in place, and report on progress via appropriate channels.

You will be:

  • Experienced in managing and coordinating projects and change initiatives, with a sound understanding of project and programme management methodologies and techniques.
  • Able to quickly establish your credibility and form positive and sound working relationships, interacting with a divergent mix of people and personal styles.
  • An effective communicator, able to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
  • A strong planner, able to organise and motivate teams outside of your direct line management.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting global engagement activity across the University.

What we offer:

  • A friendly, diverse, and supportive working environment
  • A hybrid working arrangement with the blended approach of home and office working each week
  • Generous holiday entitlement of 30 days (or pro rata) plus standard bank holidays and five university closure days including closure between Christmas and New Year.
  • Our reward scheme grants bonuses of numerous values for excellent work
  • We are committed to staff development through the provision of training, continued support, and career progression opportunities
  • You will have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts, travel schemes and many more. To find out more about what we can offer you, follow the link to our benefits website
