JOB SUMMARY
LeO has developed a proportionate approach to Project and Programme Management, the Programme Manager will deliver the programmes which form part of the annual Business Plan, as well as overseeing the projects which will deliver the strategic objectives and business critical change.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have current experience of managing programmes to a high standard, be confident in their ability to lead an effective team of Project Managers and influence effectively across the organisation. This is a fast-paced role and requires someone with a good level of resilience and the ability to work under pressure. We are looking for someone that can work collaboratively across functions/teams and influence colleagues across all levels.
It is essential that you can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of different programme and project management principles and be able to apply them and advise on best practice. As part of this role, you will need to be confident in your ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation as well as externally and at Board level. Your high level of personal resilience will enable you to remain calm under pressure with the ability to think and act strategically, developing practical and innovative solutions.
By having the ability to work flexibly you will manage tasks effectively according to priority. You will be able to quickly develop, nurture and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will allow you to present information clearly.
You must have competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and have working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar packages.
Responsibilities:
The role will look to plan and manage programmes of activity and proactively monitor their progress and resolve issues and escalating where applicable to the Programme Board. This role will also be responsible for continuing to develop project and programme governance arrangements and ensure consistency is embedded throughout the organisation.
